Open front evening jacket from the 1920s, made from plush black velvet and lined with heavy silk floral jacquard in cream. Sleeves slope from a drop shoulder, ending with pleats and ruching and cuff. Seams on both the exterior velvet and the lining are machine sewn, and lining is stitched into the coat with hand seaming and finishing. Silk is shattering and wearing away at interior collar, speckled staining on inside of left front, small tear in right sleeve near shoulder, small rubbed hole in left sleeve near elbow, small tear right back shoulder, small patch of white substance at left side seam near hem.
Sizing: Unlabelled, measures as follows: Underarm to underarm measures 56 cm laid flat, 40 cm across the shoulders, sleeves measure 61 cm from shoulder to cuff, and is 78 cm in length from shoulder to hem.
